Workflow steps
A workflow is a list of steps the agent works through in order. Each step has:
- A name, such as Planning.
- Instructions: what the agent should do. Type
/to reference a tool. - A model. Sonnet is balanced and the default, Opus is the most capable, and Haiku is the fastest and most economical. A quick check can run on Haiku and a careful review on Opus.
- Move on when: the condition for finishing the step, such as "the team approves the plan in the channel". The agent stays on a step until it decides the step is done.
- React to: which events the step responds to while it waits. By default, all of them.
Reorder steps with Move up and Move down. On its first step the agent is told who it is, what it is for, and which connectors, resources and web pages it may use, and later steps carry that forward.
Runs are durable. If Velo restarts in the middle of a step, the run carries on from where it was rather than starting over.
